This committee is part of the Fence Viewers Committee, in accordance with the Planning Act, appointed by Council. Terms are for the duration of the current council term or reappointment.
Prior to each meeting, a notice of request is sent out to neighbouring property owners and commenting bodies. A Planner/CBO prepares a staff report and recommendations for the Committee. The report outlines municipal policies and input received in response to a Notice of Hearing.
Complete the Building Permit Application (listed below) to make a request to the Committee. Applications must include a concept plan based upon Ontario Land Survey information and the Building Fees (listed below)
You should meet with the Planner/CBO and discuss your proposal before sending your application. Contact the township to book an appointment.

Wollaston Township currently has one Advisory Committee, the Recreation Committee.
The Recreation Committee typically meets once a month to discuss events, statutory holiday celebrations, parades, and small cause fundraising (for example, our Families in Need Christmas Drive). This information is then gathered and reported on at our next regularly scheduled Council Meeting.
Community members are welcome to apply to volunteer, and we are always looking for assistance with events. Please keep in mind you will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check through the OPP in order to join the committee, however there is no fee for completing this as we issue a letter waiving that fee.
