As the long weekend approaches, we’d like to take a moment to talk about best practices for residents and visitors who visit the waste site. Especially with the challenges that Covid-19 has presented us with in the last few months, we’d like to introduce some guidelines and expectations for those visiting our waste site and interacting with site staff.
Limit Visits
Please ensure only one (1) member of your family is visiting to drop off waste, the less family members who join you – the safer our waste site is for everyone.
Respect Our Staff
Please respect staff while visiting our site. Being kind, courteous and patient during difficult times helps alleviate stress for everyone. We want to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable during their visit.
Observe Public Health Guidelines
Wash your hands frequently and practice social distancing by staying 6ft away from others whenever possible. When distancing is not possible, and whenever possible, wear a face covering or mask to limit the spread. Make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask, and wash your hands before and after you touch your mask.
Learn About New Ways to Protect Yourself and Your Family
Knowledge is power. New programs, information and even apps are available to help you stay connected. Consider downloading the COVID Alert App, developed in consultation with the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Your information is safe, while keeping you informed of any potential risks of exposure to the virus.
Don’t Forget Your Card!
Bring your waste site card, and ensure your guests or renters take your waste site card with them. Only township property owners can drop off waste at our waste site located at 70 Rose Island Road in Coe Hill.
