Report – 20210604 – Deputy Mayor Colton
Media Release – June 4th, 2021
Announcing Our New Deputy Mayor
For Immediate Release
Our Township has gone through several changes this term, but as we have learned, the secret to change is focusing on the constant growth of our community and the steps we are taking forward together. We would like to announce the newest step forward – Councillor Colton has taken on the role of Deputy-Mayor effective May 31st, 2021.
Deputy-Mayor Colton has watched this area develop over the last 16+ years and looks forward to seeing where our current Council will lead us. We look forward to Darlene’s continued dedication to Wollaston Township. Colton says,
“I am honored to step into the position of Deputy-Mayor for Wollaston Township. Being able to assist Mayor Kruger when called upon will present great opportunities for more knowledge of Council proceedings and duties.
I am so proud to be a part of the Coe Hill community! A bright and fruitful future belongs to all of us, as we step forward together and show our love for our Township. I look forward to protecting the health and wellbeing of our community.”
As a result of prior Deputy-Mayor, Tim Conlin, vacating his seat there is now a Council member seat open which will need to be filled. Existing Council met to determine who would fill this position. It was resolved that the position would be filled by a community member, and the vacancy has since been posted on our website and Facebook.
